Solar energy for farming, irrigation and pumping

Energy planning should follow the agricultural season. We assess irrigation, pumping, refrigeration and processing against the months and hours when the farm operates.

Size for the season, not an annual average.

Demand may be concentrated in a few months. Irrigation schedules, water availability and cold-storage requirements affect how solar generation can be used. The assessment also considers what happens outside the main season.

Irrigation and pumping

Compare pump power and working hours with solar production. Operational changes must remain compatible with agricultural and hydraulic requirements.

Refrigeration and processing

Identify seasonal and night-time loads and equipment that cannot stop.

Installation and storage

Assess connection conditions, electrical distances and existing systems without assuming that batteries solve every constraint.

What to send us

Before you start

Can solar energy support night-time irrigation?

Photovoltaic panels generate during daylight. Night-time consumption requires grid energy or appropriately sized storage; the alternatives should be compared economically.

Does seasonal demand rule out solar?

Not necessarily. Compare demand and generation throughout the year, including low-activity periods and potential surplus.

Tell us about your property.

Include the town, your objective and any equipment already installed. You can upload bills and consumption files after sending the enquiry.

Submitting an enquiry does not commit you to a purchase. Any charges, scope and timescales will be set out in the proposal.
